Buffers add protected time before or after appointments. They are useful for preparation, travel, admin, or avoiding back-to-back meetings.
Add buffer time
- Open the event type.
- Go to scheduling, availability or advanced settings.
- Find the buffer setting.
- Set the amount of time before and/or after the appointment.
- Save the event type.
- Preview the booking page to check that fewer slots are offered.
Common buffer settings
- 5 minutes after short calls.
- 10 to 15 minutes before demos or interviews.
- 30 minutes around in-person appointments or travel-heavy meetings.
