How To Add Buffers Within Meetings

Buffers add protected time before or after appointments. They are useful for preparation, travel, admin, or avoiding back-to-back meetings.

Add buffer time

  1. Open the event type.
  2. Go to scheduling, availability or advanced settings.
  3. Find the buffer setting.
  4. Set the amount of time before and/or after the appointment.
  5. Save the event type.
  6. Preview the booking page to check that fewer slots are offered.

Common buffer settings

  • 5 minutes after short calls.
  • 10 to 15 minutes before demos or interviews.
  • 30 minutes around in-person appointments or travel-heavy meetings.
